Book design for a poetry series by Lisa M. Dougherty featuring a thoughtful approach that complements the author’s deep themes of grief, love, nostalgia, and the author’s experiences as a person caring for people with disabilities while living with them too. The book’s design creates visual spaces that mirror the emotional landscapes found in the poems, using complex line compositions to represent each poem’s tone. This design was chosen by the author and Nine Mile press to be published in 2025.
